SVdP Retail/Warehouse Volunteering

More Than A Thrift Store! St. Vinnie’s operates 14 retail thrift stores, 2 mattress recycling facilities, a used car lot, appliance recycling and Styrofoam recycling operations, and a robust online book sales department. These endeavors generate revenue for SVdP-provided social services that deliver supportive resources for individuals, children, and families who are experiencing homelessness or housing instability.

Volunteers in St. Vincent de Paul retail thrift stores and warehouses play an important role in the organization. From sorting and processing donated items, providing support to SVDP staff, acting as a resource to customers, and more. All volunteers are required to learn and follow all SVdP safety and service guidelines. We have 14 retail locations and several warehouse locations where we process donated items.
